Key Responsibilities
As the Associate Manager, SME Strategy and New Business, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic projects with international partners. Your key responsibilities include:
- Partnership Development: Identify and engage with local and international multi-lateral organizations, development partners (e.g., World Bank, UNDP), and impact investors to find potential business scope for the SME division.
- Proposal & Concept Note Writing: Prepare high-quality concept notes, proposals, and pitch decks for different projects aligned with the bank’s business needs and development goals (e.g., gender-gap, smart agriculture, climate change).
- Project Management (End-to-End): Oversee the entire project cycle, including (but not limited to) budgeting, fund utilization, impact tracking, and detailed reporting to partners.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Extend day-to-day support for negotiation, partner onboarding, and compliance processes. Coordinate with cross-functional internal teams (e.g., Legal, Compliance, SME Sales) for successful project execution.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor and track global development trends in financial inclusion, SME business innovation, and ESG reporting.
- Documentation: Maintain all project documentation and records to be compliant with both international development partners’ standards and the bank’s internal controls.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from a reputed university with a satisfactory academic record (no third division/class).
- Experience: Two years of experience in project management, specifically with international development agencies. Experience in the Banks business area is also highly relevant.
Skills & Expertise
- Strong knowledge of Bangladesh’s financial inclusion landscape, SME sector, and the development sector ecosystem.
- Excellent communication and proposal-writing skills (in English and Bengali).
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with impact assessment, M&E (Monitoring & Evaluation), and ESG reporting is a plus.
- Proficient in customer-centricity, self-propelled, and capable of meeting deadlines.
